I was either 16 or 17 at that time. Long story short, on our 6-7 month anniversary, my ex said it in the car while headed to the restaurant he booked for us.

I was 14, young and naive. I didn't mean it. When I look back, I think I just said it because I felt like I *needed* to say it because they did? Like I don't think I actually felt anything for him or anyone after him. But my current boyfriend of 2 years, I say it to remind him, not just out of habit or feeling the need to because he says it but because I mean it and only now, from being with my current boyfriend, have I learnt what it means and what it means to say it. 
It's not just any phrase, it's not something you just say to someone because you feel affection for them, it's something you say when you couldn't and don't want to imagine life without them. They have come into your life and helped you become a completely different person for the better. It's something you say when you would do absolutely anything and everything for that person to make sure they will never go without and to keep them safe. It's something you say to someone when you're devoted to them and only them and even when there's 100 people in the same room, it's only them you can see💞

I always told my friends I loved them, every time we talked! But I guess I was 13 the first time I said it and meant it. We've been together 6 years in April, and are turning 20 in September. We also have an almost 5 year old and are TTC #2!

I was about 17. He was my very first love. We were together off and on for years. He was a bad boy and I was a good girl and I finally I broke it off for good because I was growing up and he wasn't. Eventually he died the way he lived. I regretted not spending those last few years with him a long time. I have very fond memories of him. Young love, rose colored glasses.
