I went into pre-term labor at 33 weeks and 4 days. On a Tuesday at my doctors appointment I was only 1cm dilated... that Thursday evening I started having regular, strong contractions about every 4-5 minutes. I finally went to the hospital and my contractions were 1-2 minutes apart and they said I was 4cm dilated and 70% effaced. They did everything to stop my labor and finally the Magnesium worked. It was awful though... I was dilated to 5cm and 80% effaced at this point. My doctor told me I wasn't going home until I had the baby. So basically was on hospital bed rest. After 14 days in the hospital and stopping my labor 4 times, my doctor actually let me go home! Here I am 37 weeks pregnant and still at 5cm! I haven't been having anymore contractions or anything and my doctor told me that at this point she would t stop my labor anymore, and once I am 6cm she will more than likely induce me if my water hasn't broken. So I've been at 5cm for almost 4 weeks now! I am miserable and just want to have this baby! Anyone else experienced anything like this???
