My tongue is absolutely stinging and so sore has anyone every had this?

Does your tongue look white/ yellowish? With weird looking spots? It could be thrush.

I went to the doctors today, there's nothing obvious on my tongue , but the doctor said he can see a small rash and have me bonjela but that's stinging it, is so so sore

Does anyone know what this could be???
