So I had my 36 week appointment today and my doctor told me he wants to start sending me for a weekly ultrasound for a possible low lying placenta and a biophysical monitoring of the baby. the low lying placenta part is pretty self explanatory but it's the biophysical part that makes me nervous. I didn't have an ultra sound at all in my 3rd trimester with my daughter. They didn't exactly say they were worried but I wondered if anyone else has been through something similar and what exactly it means or how it turned out.
