How long should you wait?

How long did you ladies wait until you told your family about being pregnant? Immediately, after first trimester??? I'm not sure when I want to Announce it!

After testing at home and getting a positive, we told my parents and in laws right away. With extended family and extremely close friends we told at 12 weeks. We announced at 16 weeks on social media. 
The reason why we told my parents and in laws right away is because they both wanted to become grandparents so badly. Literally my mom hounded me about it the DAY AFTER we got married!

My sister told right away with her first, lost at 6w. Then accidentally got pregnant right after her loss with mono mono twins. She didn't find out for about 2 months but once she did she told everyone. Lost those at 18w. 
So once she got pregnant a year later with her now daughter she told the immediate family almost 2 months then the rest of the world once she was at a safe point. 
She had to explain to people when they asked about the twins or saw her. It was painful. 
She suggest me do the same (to wait) but it's going to be hard and I don't know if I'll be able to! Maybe immediate family and close friends first for a while.

After getting a positive test (5weeks), because I would have wanted support if something happened.
