Further along than I thought ???😕

So I went to the early pregnancy unit this morning because I was experiencing some brown spotting, doctor confirmed everything was fine but told me I was 8 weeks 3 days instead of the 7 weeks 5 days I thought I was, meaning my duedate is now in Feb, I just wanted to know how is this possible???? I track all my periods using an app and I was like 99% sure of my timings.

I took a guess at mine because my period was really messed up after my miscarriage. I thought I was 7w1d but I measured 6w4d today at my ultrasound. No biggie. Going up or down a little is nothing to be concerned about. :) I would be much more worried if I thought, for instance, I was 10 weeks but only measured 7. THEN I'd be in a panic!!

going off your LMP is only correct if you ovulate day 14 on a 28 day cycle... any differences would change your due date x

I hope I get to skip a week like that when I go in for my dating ultrasound! But really as long as I don't have to repeat a week I'll be happy. :)

You can ovulate anytime after the last day of your period to at least 14 days after. I always ovulate early

Do you track your ovulation too? Maybe you ovulated early?
