How to approach in-laws who still spell your kid’s name wrong?

My fil and his gf gave our oldest a card for her first birthday and they spelt her name wrong - Sofie instead of Sophie. At this point I’m feeling very frustrated because she’s four and we’ve had this conversation several times now with many of my in-laws (because somehow my family manages to not routinely spell our daughter’s name wrong, it’s almost like this isn’t something that should be hard to do). They all see us call her “Sophie” and “Sophia” and “Soph” on Facebook, through texts, literally everywhere and yet it’s still happening. At this point it feels intentional since I know they didn’t like that we chose the “ph” spelling over the “f” spelling. Anyone else have experience with this?

I’m 40 years old and my oldest brother still spells my name wrong. It happens and the best you can do is not let it bother you. It’s their problem, so don’t let it become yours. 😊

Potty training rash

So I sent my son to pre school with the underwear to potty train him and he came back with an extremely red rash it almost looks like burn. Has anyone ever seen this?

I would think a reaction to the underwear material or the soap it was washed with. Sounds like a chemical burn that can happen when urine mixes with a detergent. I don’t use softeners or dryer sheets either with my kids’ clothes because of their sensitive skin.

My rainbow baby is 3 and I can't deal with it. She's growing so fast and coming into her attitude. March 14th 2018 birthday. Such a happy and funny girl.

I feel like my son looks SO old now. He was born March 26, 2018. Am I the only one who feels like their toddlers are just little men or women? Where did the baby go?

That’s my sons birthday too! Everyday he looks more like a little kid vs a toddler and hasn’t looked like a baby for ages it seems. It will never cease to amaze me how fast time flies with babes. 🥺😭❤️

My 3 year old is now just the sweetest big brother. Having a new baby in the house makes you realize just how big my boy is now 🥺

3 year old hip pops

So recently I noticed my soon to be 3 year old hip makes a pop sound when she makes certain movements when she’s laying down. She’s a very picky eater but loves to drink whole milk and orange juice. It’s starting to concern me to where I’ll make an appointment for her. Due to the hospital only taking appointments, would anyone have an idea why this would be happening?

Rant - My mom is driving me nuts

Okay so my mom called me today and while we were talking she asked me who gave our toddler a bath last night (she follows me on Instagram so she saw a story I posted of my daughter in bed without the safety rail for the first time and her hair was obviously wet). So I said “Neither of us she was in the bath by herself” and my mom instantly was like “WHAT THATS NOT SAFE” and “it only takes a second for her to bump her head and drown” and it genuinely pissed me off. I check in on my daughter frequently when she’s in the tub (like every 2-5 minutes) and I’m always on the same floor as the bathroom is when she’s in the tub. Our toddler is able to get in and out of the tub by herself and prefers to bathe by herself (probably because we let her shower in our old standup shower by herself since she was, like, one, so she got used to it). She’s perfectly safe. This is the same mom who told me and my fiancé that they (my parents) were worried that we would cause shaken baby syndrome and that we were abusing our baby by bouncing her “too roughly” in the bouncer (I threatened going no contact over this previous remark). I’ve just had it with her unwelcome and unwarranted remarks on our parenting.

That’s a mother for you. Not all but some. I guess you could look at it this way. At least she was concern in her eyes. It’s some grandparents that don’t care. I see where you’re coming from..maybe love from a distance.

Help..

My daughter is 2 year and 7 months old and sleeps far less at night than my 8 week old. She stopped sleeping through the night at exactly 2 years old. So much has changed. She now has a toddler bed so we could use the crib for her baby brother. We moved. Her whole routine was flipped upside down due to Covid-19 and daycare closure. I expected some regression but when does it end...? She is now completely potty trained which was a battle in its own. I just want to know when it stops being her just trying to adjust and becomes an issue.

I found that hanging a dream catcher above my daughter's bed seemed to help her sleep a bit better at night

My March baby is going to be a big sister

She’s excited for her baby sister to come in February. She knew from day 1 that I was going to have a girl she would always ask me if baby sister was in my belly ❤️🥰

What dpo were you

Stubborn chicken nuggets eating terrorist!!

My son has all the signs of readiness to potty train except one thing. He flat out tells me no. He refuses to sit on the potty. He knows when he needs to go because he hides and comes to me with a new diaper in hand and say “I poop”!!! I don’t want to force him because I heard that’ll make it worse but I don’t know what to do either! 😩😩😩😩 SOS

I've got twin girls like this. They're turning three soon and are no sooner wanting to potty than when I tried 6 months ago. They flat out refuse. I HATE them still being in diapers. Both my older girls were potty trained long before this. I'm at a loss.

Hey guys

How’s everyone doing? I have my March 2018 baby and a 9 month old too. I’m quite tired haha

My son is 2.5 and did a 3 day method I found in Pinterest. Basically all you do is let him be totally naked and take him to the bathroom every 15-20 minutes. Take him and say, “it’s time to try to go potty now” instead of asking if he has to go, most of the time they will say they don’t have to so it helps to make it just a thing you do. Keep him in an area where you aren’t worried about him having accidents because they will happen. Also it suggested handling accidents by saying “oh no, you had an accident. Don’t forget that we go poo poo and pee pee in the potty now” as opposed to a response like, “oh don’t worry baby it’s okay” because it’s obviously not okay and that can be confusing for them. After being taken that frequently throughout the day kids will catch on halfway through the day and start telling you they have to go themselves. If they do, and day one feels successful then you can try pants on day two - pants, not underwear. After a day or two in just pants we moved on to adding underwear and that was that 🤷🏻‍♀️ we put him a pull up for nighttime only but he’s otherwise potty trained. Side note: peeing was very easy but pooing was something that took a lot of encouragement.

question about probiotics for kids. 2 years

What is the best probiotic gummys for 2 year olds to help with digestive support? Please don't tell me to ask a dr because he knows he needs them so if anyone could help me out and suggest some that would be nice because I dont want to hear ask his dr. Thx in advance
