I think telling your immediate family sooner than telling extended family/friends is ok. Your at high risk for a miscarriage. After 12 weeks the risk drops. We told family right away but waited till 12ish weeks to tell the world.

I'd say definitely after 12 weeks. We told everyone with our first pregnancy, then i miscarried at 7 weeks. It was horrible having to tell people what had happened. Just to be safe, I'd wait.

We told everyone at 8 weeks. My dr said once you see the heartbeat your risk of MC goes way down. So that's what we waited for.
