My plan, if I'm ever blessed to have to make this decision, is to have the baby shower and gender reveal at the same time and put in the invites some sort of cute little quote telling people to "just come for food and games, all I'll need is diapers and a name. Then have guests pick out names as a mini gender reveal game.

Some people still do them but I think they call it a sprinkle instead of a shower because it's just small gifts, nothing big.

One major factor is how long it has been between the two in my opinion, however I have a friend who had baby showers thrown for her for all four of her boys
