I just found out I have a sister....

I wasn't sure where else to post this and I need some advice.

Yesterday a woman reached out to me on Facebook claiming (my moms name) is her biological mother and that she was adopted at birth.

I thought, yeah right this is a scam... until I looked at her pictures. She looks identical to my mother.

Turns out she had been looking for my mother for years and finally got a DNA test and medical records and was able to put the pieces together.

I am 24 years old and this woman is 43. I have a 37 year old sister and 14 year old brother (yes my mom spread us way out). I went and talked to my mom this morning and mom said, short version, that she was 16 and her family was really poor and that was the best option.

I am in shock. I go from denial, to wanting to meet her, to being weirded out, and back to denial again.

Does anyone have any advice for me? This is the strangest situation I've ever been in.

My blood half sister seems really nice. She has 4 girls not much younger than I am.
