spotting/A/F ????? confused

So I need some advice of possible. my apps say I should be starting my period on Saturday/sunday. but I started spotting on Tuesday and has ended today. yesterday was still light but not as light as Tuesday or this morning. I have now stopped spotting. i am actively trying to conceive but I don't think I ovulted this cycle. I took a pregnancy test on Wednesday like my app told me to but it came negative. I'm not sure of the bleeding could have been implantation or what. any advice ladies. (also I have had a recent mc in May if that makes any difference) thanks :)
