Why do people say "mines"

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a reason?

More or less, it is from lack of education/knowledge. Where I live is a smaller town, but a big part of the population here is super ghetto and/or trashy. So I've heard a lot of people say it- mainly teens. Especially ones who are in school on a regular basis, but are also the ones constantly getting in trouble for showing their asses in school. Like I said, just lack of education/knowledge.
