How is a due date calculated?

Can someone explain this? I know I ovulated March 17th. I am 11 dpo and had a positive hpt. If I put in the calculator when my due date would be it comes up dec 8 and that I'm three weeks. How does this work? Mathatically I'm maybe a week and a half?

Depends on how you conceived. If you did it the "old fashioned way" then it's calculated from the first day of your last menstrual period.

And the day you ovulate they call that 2 weeks so it saying your 3 weeks is exactly right

They calculate your due date base on the first day of your last period. I know, it confused me too. I've been pregnant for 5 weeks, 4 days. But the app, and the doctors are telling me 7 weeks, 4 days
