contractions but not progressing

So yesterday, I went to be checked out at the hospital because I thought I was leaking fluid. I'd felt occasional mild contractions but thought nothing of them. I wasn't leaking, however, while at the hospital, I found out I was having regular contractions every 3-6 minutes. during the time I was there, they got slightly more intense, going from uncomfortable to a little painful. And they started coming closer together, with some being over a minute long, and others just under a minute. When I was checked when I got there, I was 75% effaced and a fingertip dilated. unfortunately, these contractions did not help me progress at all, and I was sent home with them. I showered and went to bed . it took a while to fall asleep with the contractions but I did. today, I've continued to have contractions just like last night. I had a non-stop test today and a doctor's appointment. doctor said it's just Braxton Hicks. The nurse who did my nst thinks it's early labor due to the length of the contractions. I just hope she's right and the contractions soon start to get more intense and cause some changes in my cervix. I'm so ready to have this baby!
