Children's stories...
Do you think that it is a good thing that children's books are becoming less violent/grisly? To give you some examples:
Ladybird has changed the illustrations in the gingerbread man so that you can no longer see him in three quarters, one half, one quarter (as the fox eats him)
Little red riding hood books rarely end in the wolf being filled with rocks and tossed in the river these days, it's usually something like he's chased away or something.
Little mermaid books usually don't end in suicide.
And so on.
