We did one year photos for my daughter's first bday (not cake smash just at a garden near by). They are not good. Got a photographer recommendation from my Facebook moms group- never used this photographer before. Our agreement was for 1-2 hours w two outfit changes and 20 images for $175. Of the 20 she gave us, 5-6 I would consider printing. The rest are horrible. Either kids making a funny face (my older kid was in a couple), or the photo just doesn't look good. Admittedly my daughter was in a bad mood when we did the shoot, but when I did my older child's photos when he was one he was in a bad mood too but the photographer still managers to get tons of good shots. In one of the photos w me and baby I'm clearly talking in the middle of If cuz my mouth is in a funny position (yet this is one of the 20 images she chose???) what do I do? Suck it up and just print the couple that are good? Or spend more money and get another session done w another photographer? I don't want to request another session w her- I just don't thing she's very talented- my husband and I both commented after the shoot to each other that it was kinda obvious she wasn't as talented as other photographers we have used in the past.
