Inverted nipple? Read first

Question

Do any of you moms have an inverted nipple or both? Did it make breastfeeding difficult? Are their any ways to help it? I have one inverted nipple and I'm due in November and I'm worried about it... if you would please leave your stories or suggestions to help this mama out and thank you!!!

Yes. Baby couldn't latch. Nipple would not stay up. Tried the nipple shield and it was impossible to hold it on, hold baby, etc. we were both crying. 
I pumped as soon as I got home. Never tried again. Hope it gets better for you.

Mine were before I started breastfeeding ! When I first started breastfeeding my son he was tongue tied and I had inverted nipples so I had to use a nipple shield .. but ever since then my nipples are "normal" now ! So my second baby was a lot easier to breastfeed ! There is hope !!!

Yes my left one was inverted but I could pull it out.. if that makes sense lol. My son didn't have a problem latching and he actually pulled it out so now it doesn't even go inverted anymore. I will say that that side was a little more painful to have him nurse on for a while though. We're now almost 5 months into breastfeeding and haven't had any issues with it!

It made it very hard for my kids to latch. I nursed on the other side tho.

2 inverted nipples... baby had a hard time latching. 
I ended up pumping for 9 months to feed her. 
One nipple came out and stayed out, but the other is still an innie...
