My mom threw the party and paid for most everything luckily. 😊 she is her first grandchild and her first bday so we went all out lol.

I did almost everything DIY and spent about a grand. It was unicorn themed and I just had it at Round Table because I couldn't afford a fancy venue.

Did a camping theme let everyone roast their own hotdogs with chips and made a cake and him a smash cake

Just under a $1,000.  The main cost was the food as we had it catered by a local restaurant because I didn't want to cook or have my husband grill during the party.  Plus we just had our second child three weeks before my son's party, so we were a little busy!  😂. But everything else wasn't too expensive; rented a local park from our municipality for $25, cupcakes and a smash cake from Sam's Club, got pop, water, and iced tea from Sam's Club and Costco, decorations (Minions themed as my son LOVES Minions already!), and some other odds and ends.
We saved up for his party, and had a lot of family coming in from out of town for it.  It probably would have been alittle less if we cooked the food, but yeah I'd rather someone else handle that lol!

I spent most on the horrible 1st birthday pictures (the actual pics, clothes). I took him to monkey joes (HATED IT) and went to cocoa beach (HATED THE WATER)
