Did u have support from your S.O in your choice to breaatfeed, if so how much

if no support was given,  is it because of lack of knowledge,  some men have a problem and always make it a sexual thing,  some men are very supportive even if they know nothing about it they'll get the knowledge and help or help you figure it out,  some just give no support,  i just hope that whatever decision was made was well supported and if not youll get the support you need

My SO was extremely supportive with our son. He got up with me during the night to help feed him. He'd bring him to me, I'd feed him, he would change his diaper and put him back to sleep. 
This time, I jokingly said I wasn't breastfeeding and the look on his face was priceless! He said his daughter will not have formula unless I cannot supply enough milk.

Absolutely! I nursed all 3 children with full support including my third that I'm still nursing at 17 months. The amount of money I have saved us over the span of 3 kids is very appreciative. He understands the heath benefits for baby as well as the drop in cancer risks and benefits for me. He's very appreciative that carried and fed our babies right into toddlerhood. He's a great man and appreciates all that I do.

I know it's my body but I think if I chose not to breastfeed, my husband would be disappointed. It's a good thing we are on the same page.

My bf has done so much research in the benefits of breastfeeding. He's even gone looking for alternatives to breast milk so she won't have to drink formula. Goats milk is right up there with breast milk, btw.

My SO is very supportive. He sometimes forgets her schedule and gets annoyed if we have to stop sooner then planned so I can nurse her but honestly he's been great. He also doesn't mind that my boobs are bigger and I'm topless like all the time. 😂

my boyfriend is supportive. but clueless. he wanted to also feed our son but pumping is a challange for me so i think he was a bit left out in thr beginning.

I had my husband go to a BF class with me he wanted me to as he knew it would save us so much money! and it did I gave up actually while my husband was on a fishing trip nobody was there to help and support me I was so overwhelmed. It is difficuilt and it is important to have support and help as u will be the one doing preetty much all trhe feeding my husband would get up through the night sometimes and just sit with me or bring the baby to me in bed and put baby back it helped so much

My husband was supper PRO for money saving but was completely clueless about anything else!
My first spent some time in the NICU. And breastfeeding and supply was a struggle from day one. 
I knew what I needed to do to boost supply as best I could, like baby to breast as much as possible, no pacifier, stop formula supplementing (they had to in the NICU)
But my husband and his family just didn't have the knowledge or understanding. Way back in the 60s/70s my MIL was a neo natal nurse and they gave bottles all the time and the fact I wasn't giving a pacifier really threw her. She even kept trying to sneak one to the baby!! And my husband wanted to go out in public but only bottle feed and on his schedule.... "can't the baby  just wait 20minutes?!?"
I didn't have a spine with my first and I caved too much, but I was still able to breastfeed through the struggles and through my MIL telling me to go sit facing the corner of a room to breastfeed (like I was in timeout)
I had a very frank conversation with my husband this time around (baby #2) I educated him better and my supply and feeding this time around has been 100% better. 
It's hard as a first time mommy, but you have to lay down the law and do what's best for you and baby.
