I have Shingles. I've had it since before I was pregnant. I'm currently 30 weeks right now and I'm in the middle of an outbreak on the palm of my left hand. It's severe pain. I don't take any meds for them right now while being pregnant because I don't want the meds to hurt my boy. I was told by the Dr that my Valtrex was OK to take while pregnant but the meds make me double over in pain so I made the decision not to do that to my boy cause no one can with 100% certainty tell me he's not in pain if I was to take the meds. Are there any other Mamas going through pregnancy with outbreaks? If so, do you take meds? If not, how do you relieve the pain?
