Nipple piercing and breastfeeding?

Has anyone had their nipples pierced and had to breastfeed? Tell me your experience.

I had mine done when I was 18 and successfully breastfed my 2nd daughter for 13months (I was 35), I did take them out 4 years earlier.  I was unable to breastfeed my first child but she did not latch properly(there didn't seem to be an issue with milk coming out. I took out the nipple rings during pregnancy due to sore nipples).

I have mine done. When I got them done I had asked about breastfeeding later down the road. My piercer assured me that correctly done nipple piercings will work. He said that since there are two new holes that the milk ducts will form with them and you will lactate through the piercing itself. He also told me to make sure the balls are screwed on tightly before each time I breast fed. So if yours were done by a trusted professional then I wouldn't worry. I'm currently pregnant and when baby comes I'm going to try what my piercer told me. If it's uncomfortable or anything I'll just take them out.

I have mine pierced, but no kids.. I'm pretty sure as long as they're pierced right, you have nothing to worry about. Though when I start thinking about having kids, I'm just going to take mine out.. if you're going to get your nipples pierced, GO TO A PROFESSIONAL!! Mine were pretty expensive (like $160 or something like that), but it was worth it because the piercers at the shop I went to, know exactly what they're doing and have all of their credentials up in the rooms and use super good quality jewelry..

My sister did and it was a horror show for her, puss and blood came out with her milk and it hurt her. That being said she went to a shit shop and they likely pierced it wrong, so I think it just depends.
