How long did you "really" wait to have sex postpartum?

For us it was just after 6 weeks; it took a few days after my 6 week check up for my rx birth control to come in, since my appt was at 5 Friday and our pharmacy closes at 5. 
We've been together almost 8 years and never used condoms & didn't want to start OTHERWISE we probably would have done it like a week or two after, as soon as it stopped hurting to pee, lol them hormones were going crazy 😬

Had a c section get infected so it was like 12-14 wks after baby

10 weeks. I wasn't cleared until 8 weeks. It didn't stop hurting until 6 months pp.

I can't remember that well but we waited a few weeks after the 6 weeks. I tore quite badly and took forever to heal

I waited until I wasn't bleeding anymore, called my dr and got cleared between 4-5weeks

More than 6 weeks. I had an episiotomy and when we tried after i got cleared at 6 weeks it was still too painful.
