pregnant or sick??

Question

So a few days ago I had unprotected sex and I've been feeling weird like I have stomach cramps, feeling nauseous, I've been eating more than I usually do, and I've been extra tired. Do you guys think I'm pregnant or could I just be having symptoms of getting sick??

You could be... but anything you are feeling right now would be completely unrelated to pregnancy. You see after the sex act the egg becomes fertilized (assuming one is even present) then the egg goes through cellular division until it becomes a 16 celled morula. This is still about 3-4 days post fertilization. Then it makes about a 4 day journey to the uterus floats for 2 days then implants in the uterine lining. You would not be feeling any symptoms of pregnancy until that egg implants and your body begins producing hcg. It takes about 2-3 days for those levels to be high enough for a HPT. So you are basically talking 10 days minimum after sex for any symptom. Anything before then are the natural hormone changes that come with having a menstrual cycles in general i.e PMS. Nausea doesn't generally start until you are at least 6 weeks pregnant and peaks at about 10 weeks. Curse the movies for lying to you. If you are pregnant cramping is the usual first symptom at about 5 weeks along with breast tenderness that is at its worst around 7 weeks. The best way to know if you are pregnant is to take a test when your period is due. Both times I was pregnant I felt less pregnant than any month I thought I "might be".

no if that's the only time you had sex was a few days ago. it takes 6 days for fertilization to happen and about 10 days for implantation to happen. but if you had unprotected sex earlier than that its always a possibility.
