Giving prune juice?

My baby is not pooping for three days. Should i try giving him prune juice?

I would try solids first, just my preference. you can try prunes, apples, pears, or mango. probably best to stick to one you've already tried, if you have. avoid banana. and put a call in to the pediatrician, they're usually happy to answer a quick question over the phone.

You could also try actual prunes/baby jarred prunes. We've done this and it clears her out lol

After trying baby prune food- which did nothing for our constipated baby, our pediatrician told us to give him 2 ounces of prune juice mixed with 2 ounces of water. It worked like a charm. He told us to do that daily, but we give him the juice a couple times a week to keep things flowing ;)

My little girl was the same way and my doctor told me to try baby pear juice or prune juice without adding water. The sugar helps . But at the time she was 3 months . Now I just give her prune or pear baby food and it helps as well.

I would try just offering water, but a bit of prune juice won't hurt.
