Baby book? Yay or nay?

I'm trying to decide if I want to do a baby book. We will have a shadow box done after baby boy is born which will hold his take home outfit, sono pics, wristbands, etc..., but I'm not sure I want to commit time/energy/space for something that I don't know if I'll ever look at again, especially since everything is digital these days. My husband and I try to be more minimalist in our items we keep around. Also, I'm not really a super sentimental person but when I tell people I'm not doing a baby book they look at me like I've just killed their puppy. Is anyone else not doing one?

I will do one for the exact reason you state. Everything is digital. And I want my child to have tangible items from her childhood. Things she can touch. Her baby teeth, a lock of hair from her first haircut....things like that. 
I don't have any of that stuff and it bums me out now.

I personally love looking st the baby book my mom did when I was a baby. So it's up to you.

I'm doing one for my son, have been working on it a little at a time since he was born (he's 16 months now) just for the fact of I want him to have it when he's old enough to appreciate it. 
I also did a shadow box with his hospital band, ultrasounds ect and its hanging in his room right now. 
I have a baby book my mom made when I was a baby and I love it, it's nice to be able to go back and look through pictures and things

It is time consuming but I feel like it's worth it. My mom made a baby book with me and still to this day, I look through it. Plus when I was a toddler, my dad passed away but as I grew up I was able to look back on memories, letters, and pictures that he wrote inside my baby book. It's something I cherish so my kids definitely have baby books.

I am a sentimental person, and we bought one with our first baby...and we never filled it out! Time just got away from us and we always forgot. If you don't want one don't get one just for the sake that everyone is telling you to (a lot of the argument is "it's tradition!") you will treasure the memories you make and if you end up wanting to hold onto things and record things you could always do a scrap book

I bought a pregnancy journal one that I plan on giving to my daughter one day. It's got her baby shower invitation and other pictures in it and notes from her dad and me. I might do a baby book or keepsake box as well for her
