Is my blood pressure worrisome? 144/93

My blood pressure has been consistently around this number for a couple of days. I have been laying down all week to try to lower it. I've gone in three times this week for them to check it and it's always lower by the time I see the doc. I'm at the point where I don't even want to go in and waste their time if it's just going to be lower, but at the same time I worry because I had preeclampsia with my last two pregnancies around this time. 38 weeks today!

Some home blood pressure cuffs aren't calibrated correctly. I would bring your home one in and have a nurse take your BP on the home one and then on theirs and see what they register as. They won't be exactly the same but should be fairly close. I work in cardiology and patients are always bringing in their home cuffs to make sure they are getting accurate readings.

I am 36 weeks and mine is usually around 120/70. Mine has been randomly going up to 150/85 and my doctors moved up my induction date to next week to be safe. I have been in twice due to headaches and dizziness from it though.

I would be worried. With my pregnancy I had early high blood pressure so I was put on medication. The last week starting on a Monday my blood pressure was all over the place. It was high then would go low then high again. I went in Monday and they kept be overnight but like you seemed to be better there. By Friday at my appointment my blood pressure was doing it at the doctors and they ended up keeping me and doing my c-section that day because of it!

Thats extremely high. What you eat has a huge affect on your blood pressure. Google some foods to eat that will lower it and foods to avoid
