Vegan and Preggoπ
I've been trying to get Vegan pregnancy Tips! I'm 4weeks4days and I wanted to know if anyone experienced cravings for meat after getting pregnant ? I've only been a strict vegan for 11months so the fact that my belly is low key asking for a porterhouse steak from longhorn is driving me crazy & makes me wanna cry for a cow.
I can't believe there's been a vegan board all this time. I'm so tired of asking on other boards and nonvegans saying stuff like "just eat healthy and you should be fine." Or "if that baby wants meat, give it meat." Like ma'am, my healthy and your healthy are very different. & just to clarify, I eat every veggie and fruit under the sun. So I'm not looking for someone to suggest eating more mango and avocado or their nutrient properties. Thanks, but no thanks.
I'm looking for more of: "what was your experience with vegan pregnancy? how did you curb cravings? How active were you? How much weigh did you/have you gained? Does your doctor/midwife agree with your diet? Do you take supplements for anything extra?"
The hardest part so far has been my cravings. Either I have a taste for nothing and no appetite at all so I'm forcing food on myself or I want some type of meat or seafoodπ© HELP!
