First dr visit post MC with new pregnancy...so nervous!

When did you ladies first contact or go for your first appointment with your new pregnancy after experiencing a miscarriage?

This may get a little long...

Rewind to January. Come back home from Christmas vacation and have a miscarriage at about 8 weeks (there wasn't time to go to my dr before we left on vacation so it was never "on file"). Went and got checked to make sure all was okay down there. Come February...surprise! Positive test again so I called my dr and went for the urine test. It's positive. A week or so later, miscarriage number two. Devastating, depressed... just awful. (Especially after how I got treated by the nurse when she found out I had just had a miscarriage.)

So here I am after 4 months of actively trying again and I am 5 weeks pregnant. I am so nervous to go to my dr to "get it on file" (which I need to do sooner rather than later for hubbys job...army).

Should I just wait until 8 weeks (like I did with my first little boy) to go in and start the whole OB process? Any advice? Words of encouragement? Anxious momma here.
