40, late period

I just turned 40 a week ago....ive had 2 fibroid removal surgeries and my period has always been regular. Im sexually active and my partner and i have not been using condoms. i have no children an i am ooen to getting pregnant! however my partner probably doesnt want another. my last period was June 27th I took a pregnancy test on August 1st but it came back negative...im on vacation but I'm worried...im gonna go to the Dr when I get back but does anyone have any suggestions?
