Are certain piercings unprofessional ?

I really want my septum pierced but I fear that it's "unprofessional" to have one. 
(Also I'm trying to become an ESL teacher in the future) 
Is it really unprofessional to have a septum piercing ?

I feel like any face piercing makes you appear less professional but the only one that could be a little more acceptable would be just a small little nose stud

I'd say depends on your district policy.  We aren't supposed to have facial piercings (other than ears) but I've never seen a teacher have to take any out. I have my nose pierced and it's really small.  I see admin and the superintendent and no one has ever said anything to me.  So I'd say it just depends.

I work in a school and have done for the past 5 years. I hot my septum pierced 2 years ago. I got it done with a retainer which was flipped up for the first 4 months whilst it healed. When I am not at work it is flipped down or I put different jewellery in.

Septums are the most acceptable imo, other than maybe a nose stud, because you can hide it so easily and no one would even know. 😅

Septum is the easiest piercing to hide so unprofessional or not I say go for it and just tuck it in if you need to!

I think it depends. With a septum piercing you could get a bar thats just the size of the piercing and doesn't stick out and wear that when you go to work. Its less noticeable. Or you could flip a ring up into your nose. But some jobs just have a strict no face tattoo rule so it depends
