Hi all!

I was just diagnosed with PCOS last week and have found I am Insulin resistant. My doctor out me on Metformin (500 mg to start for a week then to 1000 mg daily).

I hope this works! I could stand to lose some weight. I've already started eating better. Added bonus that it can help me to conceive if that is also a problem before!

I was on BC for about 16 years and stopped in February of this year because DH and I are TTC #1. My periods have been regular since then and my OPK has given a reading of an LH surge twice in the last 4 months I've been using it.

What were your side effects with Metformin?

How soon after taking it did you lose weight? Conceive?
