Who comes first in your life.. spouse or child?

I have a confession.. I knowingly put my baby before my husband. Every bone in my body tells me that my son is my priority and it feels unnatural to go against it. My MIL has made multiple comments that's it's important to make time for your husband but why should I follow in past women footsteps? I didn't marry my husband so my life would revolve around him, I married him so we could build a life together . Don't get me wrong.. I still cook and show affection but my day revolves around my son and I truly love it. Who is the priority in your lives ladies? Let's have a respectful discussion .

I will always come first! I need to be sane for everything else to be good! Lol.
But my husband is next. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have my children. And the same for me to him.
Obviously a small baby that can't care for themselves must be taken care of immediately and kept loved and safe. 
I'm speaking more in terms of not letting my marriage fall apart because I can't get out of mommy mode.

My daughter comes before anyone. I don't care who you are. I have told my fiance that numerous times actually. He puts our daughter above me also. That's the way it should be imo. She is my flesh and blood. He isn't.

I think that's just a woman's instinct. It's ingrained in us to look out for the children first.

Always my children! I am currently 9 months pregnant and I asked my husband for a divorce at 6 months...we have since worked on things and are separated but doing much better. But only because I DEMANDED THIS. I do not EVER condone a man lying, cheating, even just yelling or arguing too much. ESPECIALLY as a pregnant woman. I am vulnerable, but I am a QUEEN and if I don't have a KING as my right hand, than who the hell are you!! I have a one year old as well. I don care if I'm pregnant and have kids. I don't need a man to make me happy, my kids are my life. You an still be a parent and be separate. Demanding respect and love is good for your kids and good for you and if you let things go and let things slide it's only your kids that suffer.

I haven't had any children, but I think putting your own child before your SO is just a natural instinct.

I read about this lady that put her husband first because she said she need to keep him happy and make sure he is okay, because that is showing your children how to keep a happy home!! happy wife, happy husband, happy home!! Which I agree but also I feel like your children should come first, but I'd probably keep it 50/50. Or at least try to!!

They have different needs. My son needs more help as he is a child so he comes first if he's in need. My relationship with each of them is important and is looked after in completely different ways. I never understand this question.

Is this even a question? Lol. Ryan Reynolds done this speech thing and he said that when he looked into his wife's eyes he knew that he would take a bullet for her but once he's child was born and he looked into its eyes he knew that he would use his wife as a human shield to protect her. 
I would literally do ANYTHING for my son.. I love my fiancé a lot, but my son and future children will ALWAYS come first and he knows this and he says the same thing. That's how it should be.

I do,  and always will.  however I do make an effort to spend time with my husband without the children,  even if it's just half an hour before bed chatting.  But my children are still young and need me so they will come first.
