What the duck is it? Crushed dream 😢

So we had our anatomy scan today. Baby was practicing boxing moves and playing peekaboo. Found out what the duck baby is...little one was uber excited to show off what was between the legs.

I had to hold back the tears so my stepkids wouldn't see after they came back in the room that my dreams of bows and tutus was crushed when our little ducky revealed his junk with such pride.

DH was happy either way, but happier knowing our little duck is health and growing. Well time to let it all sink in that we have been blessed with a little boy after having previous losses despite our, rather my, dream of having a little girl.

Regardless mommy and daddy love you Aidan Lestat.

The same thing happened to me today,  I have 4 boys.... I'm starting to adjust now.  I love my little miracle either way. 👣💙

You'll be bummed for a day or two, but you'll perk up again, don't worry. This is a normal reaction to setting a big expectation and finding out that you're getting somewhere different.

So as I'm finally accepting that my baby is a boy, a coworker made a statement to me after a customer went through my line with a 5day old baby girl. The statement was look at all the cute stuff you could buy...oh wait you can't cuz you're having a boy. Talk about a low blow to me. Now I'm trying to figure out how a parent can dress a baby boy super cute like you can a baby girl.
