What age is perfect to have your first child?

My boyfriend and I want a child, but I'm still in school, and I really want to wait it out ( my choice ). I graduate in 2017 and go to college my freshman year as well, and my career plan is to become a teacher, so with that being said which age do you think I should wait until? I have a very great support system too!

I don't think havinga great support system matters in highschool. It matters when you're an adult. No offense, but you're not yet. If you graduate in 2017, you're like, what? 14-16? Wait until you're at least 20. If you have plans to be a teacher, wait until you've graduated college, have a job, and have insurance. A place of your own and more life experience wouldn't help either.

Age is totally up to you, but in my opinion, even if you ARE ready under 18- emancipated, a great support system, you have a job where you make a 'lot', etc.. You should still wait. You don't have enough life experience yet, which comes with age.

I would recommend after you finish college if that is your plan and start in your career. That way you have your security and backing for starting a family and are already where you want to be. So many struggle to go to college or even finish it once they have kids.

I'm in the UK and get confused with what age you do school/College etc in the US. I am also a teacher and waited to try for a baby until I had qualified and been in the job for a few years. I have now been teaching for 5 years, am 27 and am 23 weeks pregnant 😊 xxx

I had my daughter at 20 I do feel like I had her to young but I wouldn't change it, I had my own house (renting) had a car we both had jobs and been together 4 years so we was stable enough. I just feel like I didn't experience my younger years like going on holiday with my friends or going out having a drink. If your stable finanally and are ready to have a baby I don't see it matters what are you are.

I was gonna wait til i graduated college and saved money from my good job. But im now 23 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. Although my SO and I are very happy to be havibg a baby, i do wish i finished college and had some money saved up. But i will say that you should wait at least til your out of highschool-cuz its stupid to have one now...you wont graduate.
