until i was cleared. that way i didnt risk DYING of a bleed or infection. My life is not worth getting laid over.

I waited 3 weeks with both kids. I hadn't been seen by my doc yet for either but my doc was their doc also and she said it was fine if my bleeding has stopped, which it had after less than a week of birth.

About 3 weeks pp both times, I was completely done bleeding/spotting and no stitches with either one.  My first pp appointment was at 5 weeks and with my second it was at 4 weeks...

Like 2 days before 4 weeks. I waited til I stopped bleeding completely and waited to a lot sooner but hubby is rather large and in charge. Haha. It was sometimes painful anyway. I had no stitches. I've heard as long as you have stopped bleeding 3 days prior. And you aren't sore or tender down there you'll be fine. If it hurts definitely stop. Go slow and use lube.

7 weeks is how long I waited. I was cleared at 6 weeks and still had internal stitches, so I wanted to wait till they were gone but ended up changing my mind and had sex a week later
