So I am 40+5 and I'm freaking out a little bit because this looks like too much blood to me. I'm a first time mom so I obviously called the maternity ward and explained the situation and tried to describe how much blood was there. They said it sounded normal and asked me if I was still bleeding (which I'm not), if I was cramping or having contractions (which I'm not), or if my water broke (which it didn't). They said to put a pad on and check it in an hour but I can't help but freak out a little bit.

On a funny side note, my 5 month kitten decided to "help" me take the picture and jumped in the toilet right after I took it. So I'm screaming OMG NO!!! while trying to wake my boyfriend up to update him about everything. It's been an interesting morning at our house...

**UPDATE**

We did go to the hospital and they did an exam, non stress test, ultrasound, and another non stress test and then monitored me for another 2 hours. There was no progress with dilation or contractions so they sent me home. I have another appointment tomorrow for another non stress test and ultrasound so hopefully there will be a baby soon!!
