What's the most important thing we can do on this earth to better it for future generations?

What do you think is the most important thing? Stop climate change? Advancement in science and medicine? Education? Racial tensions? Teach other religions to have empathy for people who have a different belief system? Anything else?
Please explain your choice and why it's important to you to solve this problem for future generations?

The environmental changes need to come first and foremost otherwise there won't be an earth for future  generations to speak of. But I suppose that would require empathy, so they go hand in hand. I've legit talked to people who don't care about protecting the environment for their kids' kids and so on because they themselves will be dead by then. I don't know if people like that can be reached.

I think teaching empathy and sympathy in general to children would cover many of these situations and help tremendously. I feel like a very empathetic/sympathetic person, and realized the older I got the more people lack these traits, which in turn makes them less understanding and reasonable in general. If we started caring what others thought/felt/wanted/are going through more, then I feel a lot of the worlds problems could be solved in a reasonable fashion.

Educate all school children properly and the rest will follow, not like it will ever happen but it would be nice if the majority of children we're taught complete rubbish by a bunch of half wits.

Work on self and become more spiritually in tune with self, nature, and the spirit world(not just religious). Then everything will fall in place!

Take care of the planet for future generations, nothing else is going to matter if people are having to worry about oxygen tanks because the air is too polluted to breath. Having a clean healthy planet is beneficial to everyone across the globe.
