why did this happen??

Question

so, I got my daith pierced but it healed wrong and pushed the piercing out. the hole literally doesn't exist anymore. any idea why it happened? and how can I prevent it from happening again?

Well there's a few different reasons that a piercing rejects (which is what happened to yours)
1. You're allergic to the type of metal and your body is getting rid of it. If so, get tested and find out. Nickel allergy is common, and sadly most metals contain nickel, one of the best metals to go with is: Implant grade titanium. 
2. Your ear just wasn't made for a daith. Some ears aren't and can't support it.
3. It wasn't pierced correctly. If the piercing was too shallow it would make it easier to reject. This is due not to consumer error, but piercer error.
4. The gauge of he piercing was too small. What was it gauge? Smaller gauges are actually more likely to reject, especially in high-risk piercings which is why the common gauge is 14-16.
5. You weren't wearing the right TYPE of jewelry, some jewelry is just not made to be in a daith piercing!
6. You weren't cleaning enough. 
7. Your body just didn't like it and rejected it
Piercings reject because the body views it as a foreign object. Talk to a different piercer about piercing it again and do a LOT of research to figure out why it rejected
