Groin injuries and ttc success stories?

So when my SO was younger(school age) some girl thought it would be funny to kick him in the nuts. Well she kicked him so hard that one of his testicles went up inside of him. He had surgery to fix it and he has had no problems with ejaculation or erection. To his memory he thinks the doctors said he should be fine on the ttc side. Well fast forward to now. I just ended the 8th cycle officially trying. I am getting worried that maybe there is something wrong. I plan on getting us both tested when we reach a year as i still could have the depo shot causing me issues (😠😩😢) I was just wondering has anyone gone through this and if there are any success stories or things I can do if his injury is causing the issue. We are both so heartbroken every time my period comes and I just want it to be my turn. I know I haven't been trying as long as most people on this app but it STILL hurts to get your period every month after having countless phantom symptoms, after sore raw vaginas from desperate sex because you THINK your ovulating, after seeing everyones announcements and bellies and babies on social media and In person, after spending a small fortune in pregnancy tests, and driving ourselves insane.
