So, is it possible to get pregnant the day before your period?

I'm pretty sure I did. My expected period was July 18th, I had sex the 17th, got my positive July 27th, ten days later. At first I thought I conceived on a different date, but my ultrasound last week said I'm only 5 weeks and July 17th is the only day that gives me the correct date. honestly I'm just really fucking confused. can someone tell me I'm not crazy

28 day cycle, last period June 20th? Ovulation day was July 4th, so sex on/around that day is what did it. Did you have sex anytime around July 1-5? 
The fetal age is 5.5 weeks

Like, I told the tech my last period, she said I'd be about 7 weeks and gave me pictures of what I should expect the baby to look like on the screen above. So she did a transvaginal ultrasound, all we saw was the little circle of the womb and just a tiny dot in it. And she said I was definitely not 7 weeks, I looked like I was maybe 5 and that the yolk sac was forming. well, by using July 17th as the conception date, I'd be 5w6d as of now, so it would make sense because my blood test the week before said I was 4-5 weeks. I dunno. I'm just really stressing I'm going to go back for a rescan and be told the pregnancy stopped growing or something.

Does that makes sense? You start your first trimester the first day of your period because, when you conceive you'll be conceiving by an egg of that cycle. Other online calculators don't tell you fetal age like the doctor goes by. Your baby is only 5.5 weeks in, so it sounds like it may be right in schedule. 
I know this is all very confusing it was for me at first too lol. Not a lot of women know the ins and outs of conception until they go through an extremely long infertility process. 
It sounds like you and baby are okay and on the right track, congrats and enjoy! Try to think back to when you had sex around July 4th. I'm sure he/she will be a little firecracker considering its conception day!
