Cysts? I think something is wrong

So I have been part of TTC for about a 6 months now, I'm not exactly trying and I'm sorry if this part offends anybody who is, it's just I'm married and 19 and don't exactly want a baby right now because I'm so young and personally want time with me hubby before we try. That being said, I am not on birth control, we have decided to be careful but also will lovingly accept anything that does happen if I were to get pregnant. The reason I am on TTC is because I'm not on bc and want to know more about TTC. I missed my period two months ago, and last month I started almost two weeks late, and have been spotting every day the past three weeks straight. Some days I will wake up with lots of blood and some days I only notice blood when I wipe after using the restroom, I normally have a very very heavy flow with lots of severe pain. I've always been that way. After having been on bc for a year I stopped because it made my periods stop and I could feel My body didn't feel right. I've went to the doctor for this my doctor told me since I'm not 21 he doesn't think I need to see an OBGYN and he will just put me on birth control. But I don't want it, since it makes me have no period, I don't want to risk not being able to have children for when we try. On another note I want to add that there's been plenty of times I couldn't gotten pregnant and we weren't careful at all. But I never did, now I am worried I may have problems TTC in the near future. I think I have a cyst maybe? I was just wondering what it was like for people who HAVE had one or do have problems.
