fwb help!!

so I've been seeing this guy and we are basically friends with benefits. he's a great guy but I want more. I don't care that we aren't dating but I at least want us to be exclusive. I know he does not want to be exclusive yet he kisses me in front of others like we are an item. I know we should probably just go back to being friends but he is the best I've ever had in bed so I really don't want to. help!!
