train travel?

have anyone travel by train before? how was it? also do they feed u on board??

I have but not for longer than a few hours it wasn't boring nice scenery and I also had stuff to entertain me and food people can be friendly too and strike up a conversation

I moved from Colorado to Seattle aboard Amtrak. Granted this was years ago. I had an entire suitcase of snacks. I had no idea what to expect. There is a restaurant and a little snack bar. I didn't eat in the restaurant, but when my parents traveled they did. They said it was decent. Snack bar was your basic chips, candy, soda, sandwiches, etc...
Get a sleeper car! I didn't and it was miserable! People snoring, smells like BO, not comfy at night....your basically sleeping on a long plane trip. Splurge and do a sleeper car. You may end up sharing with someone, you might get lucky on your own.
