Why, when I say my period is late.. does my Ovulation date change?

App is assuming you ovulated sooner because your period is coming later. It's called a luteal phase

When you're period begins. The later it begins the later you ovulate. Day 1 of your cycle is the first day your period starts. My
Cycles are anywhere from 32-35 days the later my period starts, I ovulate later than the original projected date.
