I don't really know where to post this...
In January, my SO and I found out his mother has cancer. In February, we learned it was stage four and, with chemo, would only have about three months. She wanted quality life so she decided to not do chemo. In the last week, she's declined pretty steadily and she's now in the "hours to days" stage according to her hospice nurse. I'm not really sure what I'm trying to get out of posting this. I guess just a place to maybe get some support? I love his mother so much. I actually worked with her before I even met him. She's such a special lady. She helped me so much when I didn't have anyone else and I'm not sure I'm ready to say goodbye.
Can anyone help me come to peace with this? Or help me figure out how to support him and his brother through this? I'm doing the best I can but if anyone has experience and could share some words of wisdom I'd be very grateful.
