When to start Day 1 on provera/clomid?

This is my second month on provera. The first month I started my period after 4 days without provera. It was a definite period although it was very light. This month, this will be my 8th day after the provera cycle. For the last 3 days, I've had a very light pink/Brown discharge but no actual true blood. My question is about the Clomid. My doctor told me to start it on Day 3. Would I consider this day of pink discharge as Day 3? Or wait until I get actual full on flow to start day 1?
