has anyone here told wrong gender of their baby at 13 weeks? how often this could happen?

13 wks isn't the most accurate time to call gender. Most doctors/sonographers won't call it that early because the labia can appear swollen and look like boy parts. They can guess and they may be right, but I wouldn't go out and buy a bunch of clothes or anything yet. I would wait until your anatomy scan at 18-20wks to be sure.

It's very possible that it will be incorrect as the baby is stil very small and developing and that reproductive organs may appear to be something that they are not.

I think I would just wait if I were you. The parts are swollen or under developed at that age. My OB wouldn't call it until almost 20 weeks.

At 11 weeks my doctor gave me an 80% guess that we were having a boy. At 20 week ultrasound it was confirmed.

my tech told me that i am having a baby girl at 13 weeks but i am very doubtfull because from the start of my pregancy i have a strong feeling that i am carring a baby boy. i will get another scan at 20 weeks. i have heard that mom to be intutions are very strong about their unborn babies what do u think?
