Warning - DO NOT GO TO GLOUCESTER HOSPITAL

Th

I was visiting family in the Cotswolds when I had some bleeding.

I went to Gloucester hospital, my hospital in London said to demand an ambulance.

I asked, they refused.

I had to have someone drive me there, we got there and waited nearly two hours to be seen. No midwives were around despite pushing their emergency button. You could hear them chatting away in the back talking about someone else who was on holiday.

I then had a doctor who spoke little English do a rough examination which led to heavier bleeding that was bright red. He claimed he could see my baby's head, but also said I was 2-3 cm.

They said I was in labour, however I felt no contractions.

My hospital in London then had me go to them, verified that the rough examination had ruptured my waters and induced labour when I was 37 weeks + 6 days.

They have filed a report against the hospital. Since then I've spoken to midwives local to the area which have made it clear they're not impressed with the maternity care at that hospital.
