Explaining miscarriage to daughter
I had a miscarriage December 2016 and I've only recently started talking about it. I've been vocal with family and also about my IUI with the fertility specialist. I'm also currently 23 weeks pregnant and due December 11 😀
I want to become vocal in my family/community to help other women who've experienced tragedy and/or going through medical treatments to get pregnant; in doing so, my teenage "bonus" daughter will learn of the miscarriage and my IUI. We didn't tell her when it happened because she didn't know we were trying and she's a worrier so we didn't know how she'd react.
Anyways, does anyone have advice on how to tell her? I know her mother had a miscarriage a few years ago but I'm not sure if my daughter knows. She's 14 and in some ways mature for her age. Just curious if anyone has any advice.
