circumcision yay or nay?

My partner and I are considering not having out our son circumcised. I would like veiws and facts on this subject so as to get a better understanding.

I've chosen to circumcise my sons
one 10 years ago and the other only 3 weeks ago. both procedures went well. i was there for both of them. 
i have done elder care and that's a big reason why I chose to circ my boys
older men uncircumcised, they do not clean themselves
they do not let the care workers clean them
they develop horrible infections and adhesions requiring surgery
it's awful to see and to smell
with people living longer, more men will be in nursing facilities. just my experience and opinion.

I'm from the U.K men are only circumcised for medical or religious reasons. If your little boy doesn't fall in to one of those two I would leave him be 😊

I'm from the U.S...my 2 boys from my previous marriage are uncircumcised. If I get pregnant with a boy with my new husband, we won't be circumcising either. One bc it's something they're born with and I could never bring myself to cut something off of them, two...my husband is british, they just don't do it unless it's a medical or religious thing.

My son is.. I did feel really bad when he was getting it done and my boyfriend did to that we stopped and thought about it for a second if we should do it or not, but we still decided to. It took 5 minutes and they brought him back in the room right after and he was asleep. They said he did really good. And I just cuddled him after. My opinion is, he's a baby he is obviously going to feel it but not remember. Just like one day when he's older he might break a bone or something. And I hear a most men get it done when their older and it hurts more and takes longer to heal. My sons was perfectly fine. And they can get infections or it'll smell really bad if they don't clean properly and I've heard even if they do clean properly they can still have that. And I mean you know boys, as teenagers you don't know if they're really cleaning themselves like they should. That's just me and I'm glad we got it done

My son had a circumcision and I'm glad I did. I would of never known my son a rotated penis if I didn't get him cut.

I'm from the United States, an I got my child circumcised, if I have another one he will be too. It's just common here

I wouldn't personally get my child done but i don't think it's something that's that really done too much in the uk, after being on this app I realise it's quite popular in different countries but I guess it's all down to personal choice

I had my first son circumcised, my second will not be. I did it the first time around with no research (literally only because "that's just what people do") and I deeply regret it. He didn't even have any complications or permanent damage aside from the obvious loss of nerves and everything that goes with even a perfectly done circumcision and I am very thankful for that.
Nowhere else in the world is this even a discussion. There are no medical benefits, what few studies promoted it have been debunked, no major health organization recommends it, the vast majority of men worldwide are intact with no issues, and I won't remove healthy tissue from my son again just because that's what people here do.

We had it done to my son 5 years ago when he was born and will be having this little one done in about 3 weeks or so when I have him. My dr does it the day after they are born. It's a very short procedure and it's no big deal he came back into the room perfectly fine and content and was totally healed in a week or so.

I will be getting my son circumcised because I know far too many older man and some older children who end up having to get it done. and I would just rather not risk more pain by waiting for something serious to happen before doing it. not to mention my husband and everyone in our family had it done. and I think it would just confuse him is he isn't and looks different.
